Abstract
The Netrix device measures the water level in tanks used for rainwater harvesting. Netrix combines an ultrasonic sensor, cellular modem, low-power-draw processing unit, battery pack and solar array into a waterproof package which is easy to install. The device can operate indefinitely when exposed to at least two hours of direct sunlight per day, and it utilizes a cellular modem to transmit daily telemetry data. By regularly monitoring the water level, Netrix has the potential to enhance rainwater collection systems used in rural areas.
