Abstract
The internet of things network is the key enabling technology of the 5th generation communication network. The IoT nodes need identity verification before becoming the part of the network to avoid the security breaches. The resource constraint networks implement Ultralightweight Protocols for the node identification. Recently the ultralightweight MAC protocol was presented calming to provide security and privacy to the devices using wireless correspondence. This paper presents the cryptanalysis of the MAC protocol and proposes a desynchronization attack proving its inability to provide integrity and availability services to the IoT perception layer.
