Abstract
This article focuses on the results of the study of different segmentation methods of pigmented skin lesions for early detection of melanoma. The important clinical signs of pigmented skin lesions of benign and malignant tumors of the skin pigment were investigated. The errors of the automatic segmentation of the method of region growing have a low standard deviation. Implementation of the method of region growing in MatLab was presented in this article. We have experimentally demonstrated that the borders of simple, dysplastic nevi and melanoma are significantly different from each other, as well as the area lesions.
