Abstract
In the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-enabled wireless power transfer (WPT) system, due to the poor precision of the landing system, the coupling coefficient of the charging coil is affected, which reduces the charging efficiency. In order to improve the stability and charging efficiency of the UAV-enabled WPT system, a charging coil is proposed in this paper. Firstly, On the basis of theoretical analysis, the structure of the charging coil is designed according to the limitation of the size and weight of the charging coil and the working characteristics of the UAV. And then, the parameters of the charging coil are optimized so that it is tolerant to misalignment condition. Finally, the results of simulation and experiment show that when the offset distance is less than 200mm, the coupling coefficient of the charging coil can be kept at about 0.2, and the power transmission efficiency can be kept at about 91%. The reliability of the UAV-enabled WPT system is improved.
