Abstract
The paper deals with the synthesis of the equivalent model of the systems with an electromagnetic field, using the Foster Circuit (FC). The way of determining the lumped parameters of the FC of the considered system, using a time-harmonic field model, has been discussed. In order to develop the field model, the edge element method (EEM) has been applied. Moreover, the way of determining the lumped parameters of the FC has been illustrated on the example of the studied system, consisting of a solenoid coil and a conductive core. The obtained results of the calculations have been compared with the results, using the transient field model of the phenomena of the considered system.
