Abstract
This paper presents a fast design procedure for a quadrature reflection phase structure (QRPS). The design procedure is based on finding the best combination for a binary string that represents the configuration of a single grounded substrate to produce a reflection phase of 90 degree at the operating frequency (10 GHz). A binary particle swarm optimization is implemented with a stopping condition to design the QRPS.
