Abstract
In the last decade, we witnessed an unprecedented growth in mobile devices technology and use. With the ever increasing use, new services have emerged. Several studies showed that students are relying on these new technologies to achieve different tasks. Social networks were one of those services that changed the way we use mobile devices. Students usually use social networks to connect with their peers. In this paper, we study how university students use social networks and we propose a Mobile-based intra-Campus Student Social Network to exploit the use of social networks in education. The proposed system goal is to facilitate and automate student's interactions through a set of valuable services that accelerate the learning process. The proposed system relies on WIFI and mobile technology to achieve the communication between different students.
