Abstract
The Compressed Baryonic Matter experiment at Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Darmstadt, Germany, will include detector systems aimed for different products of particle collisions. The readout electronics design including Analog Front-End for such applications should provide flexible configuration possibilities for different operation conditions in harsh environmental conditions. We report on preliminary test results of a 128-channel prototype self-triggered amplitude and time measurement integrated circuit, STS/MUCH-XYTER2 (Silicon Tracking System / Muon Chamber — X — Y — Time Energy Readout). It is designed to operate with double-sided silicon microstrip sensors (in conjunction with long, micro-cables) and gas electron multiplier detectors with capacitances ranging from 25 up to 60 pF.
