Abstract
This paper proposes a fully distributed coordination control in islanded DC microgrids in order to minimize the generation cost. It consists of tertiary and secondary control levels to optimize load sharing between distributed generations (DGs). A normalized running cost is proposed as a comprehensive method for solving economic dispatch problem (EDP) of DC microgrids. Through dynamic consensus protocol, tertiary control level equalizes DGs normalized costs to adjust the output power of each DG at the optimum point while satisfying the inequality constraint. Secondary control level regulates the average voltage across the microgrid. Therefore, the generation-demand equality constraint can be well maintained. Simulation results verify the feasibility of the proposed controller with different operating conditions and prove its resiliency against communication link loss, and DGs failures.
