Abstract
This paper presents a new scheme for detail-preserving filtering of Respiratory Sinus Arrhythmia. The FIR Hybrid Median (FHM) filter, polynomial fitting and 3-point, median are utilized for transient elimination. The FIR-Alpha-trimmed mean Hybrid (FAH) filter is used for trend removing. It is shown that algorithms effectively attenuate unwanted impulses and fluctuations from RR-interval sequence.
