Abstract
Current measurements areavailable in any power system measuring scheme, but few of the estimators presently being implemented are designed to employ them. This paper discusses the extension of a WLS estimator to include current measurements. The modification of the estimation algorithm itself is simple enough. The work reported here investigates the influence of current measurements on observability, the performance of the algorithm, and bad data detection probability.
