Abstract
This paper analyses the characteristics of the high peak power pulse laser amplification in a Yb-doped double-clad fiber amplifiers (YDFA-DC) pumped by pulse LD. The pump duration, the pump power and the delay time between the pump and the laser seed are discussed in detail, which are the most important parameters when such a fiber amplifier stage is designed.
