Abstract
“Embedded” HVDC transmission has emerged in the Jiangsu power grid, and its advantages and applications have attracted widespread attention. This paper provides a detailed analysis of the application scenarios and features of “Embedded” HVDC and proposes an active power optimization control strategy for regional power grid based on “Embedded” HVDC. The strategy makes full use of the advantages of new “Embedded” HVDC transmission lines in the regional power grid, takes the transmission interface as the research object, takes the load rate of each line in the transmission interface as the optimization goal, and optimizes the power flow of the transmission interface by modifying the DC power control parameters to improve the transmission capacity of the power grid. The effectiveness of this method is verified by the simulation of IEEE 39-bus system and an actual power grid in a region of China.
