Abstract
This study delves into the necessity of advanced control systems in islanded DC microgrids (MGs), emphasizing the challenges posed by the intermittency of renewables and fluctuating loads. This paper proposes a distributed prescribed performance based fixed-time (PPF-FxT) control strategy that facilitates optimal load allocation across various distributed generators (DGs) of islanded DC MGs within a predetermined settling period, irrespective of initial conditions. Incorporating a prescribed performance function ensures both the transient and steady-state behaviors conform with the predefined criteria, thereby elevating MG’s operational reliability and efficiency. The proposed control's efficacy is confirmed through detailed stability analysis and demonstrated across multiple case studies, showing its adaptability and efficiency under different conditions.
