The “Pothole Alert and Detection” system integrates with live Google Maps, offering real-time pothole detection. When a pothole is detected, it sends email reports for prompt maintenance, enhancing road safety and infrastructure management. The proposed system utilizes technology to proactively address road hazards, ensuring smoother and safer travel experiences. The deterioration of road infrastructure, particularly the occurrence of potholes, poses a significant challenge for urban transportation systems. Potholes not only disrupt the smooth flow of traffic but also contribute to safety hazards and increased maintenance costs. In this study, we use machine learning techniques to present a novel method for pothole identification and categorization inside road networks.
