Abstract
This article proposes an inflatable antenna for use on balloons. The antenna uses PVC as the inflatable material with a dielectric constant of 4 and a loss angle tangent of 0.01. Metal strips on the surface of the balloon achieve the desired radiation performance of the antenna. The antenna's input impedance is 50 ohms, and it generates a resonant frequency at a central frequency of 3GHz. Its radiation pattern is symmetric and exhibits excellent performance. The antenna's size and weight can be reduced by controlling the inflation and deflation of the device, making it highly marketable.
