Despite numerous efforts to increase safety during electrical work activities, we regularly receive notifications or read in newspapers about incidents with electricity resulting in severe injuries or even fatalities. Many of these incidents are related to attitude or moments of carelessness. Can we do something about it? A joint effort of employers, the electrical worker and their colleagues could provide an incentive to influence attitude and change behaviors by all stakeholders and create a culture that embraces values that do not accept deviations from the norm. This paper describes various ways in which an electrical safety culture can be established or improved.
