Abstract
Magnetic-field control of polarized light via magneto-dielectric nanocomposite system is an important step in seamless implementation of nano-scale magneto-optical device. In this report, magneto-dielectric nanogranular films with “non-sphere shaped” magnetic nanoparticles, wherein (prolate, chained, and oblate)-shaped nanoparticles was investigated regarding to induce the magneto-optical anisotropy. We demonstrate that both optical transmittance and Faraday rotation angle at optical communication bands were successfully improved when the prolate shaped nanoparticle perpendicularly aligned in the film.
