Abstract
With the development of the technologies to which the production sector is connected, the production of apparatus and fixtures used for machinery and devices for sustainability is gaining great importance and leads to an increase in the production of apparatus and fixtures. The production of apparatus and fixtures is both environmentally friendly and provides an advantage in terms of cost as it provides energy improvement. While manufacturing apparatus and fixtures, it has started to produce a sustainable design by designing it in a way that affects energy efficiency, choosing the optimum raw material, and paying attention to the manufacture of apparatus and fixtures. Energy efficiency refers to how little energy an apparatus or fixture consumes in the use of the necessary equipment and manufacturing process time. There are many variables for energy efficiency. These include the correct selection of the material, how long the part is processed by machines, how often the tool inserts used to process the raw material are changed, and so on. The selection of raw materials in the manufacture of apparatus and fixtures is very important in terms of cost reduction, energy efficiency and time saving. It is the largest field covering the issues of raw material selection, cost reduction, energy efficiency and time saving in the construction of apparatus and fixtures. By optimally selecting the raw material in the making of apparatus and fixtures, it can increase or reduce the machinability and machining time. As the machinability of the machine becomes easier, the machining time will decrease, and the energy consumption will be directly reduced. Thus, the yield will be positively affected. In this study, we examined the effects on energy efficiency, manufacturing cost and time saving by considering the selection of non-metallic raw materials used in apparatus and fixtures for product assembly in our company.
