Abstract
This paper presents a simplified dielectrophoretic device for particle manipulation and separation. In this work, a new dielectrophoretic device is proposed to manipulate the trajectory of cells and particles in a suspension. The device design is simplified compared to previous complex devices, allowing for easier implementation and operation. Numerical simulations are performed to analyze the device’s performance. The experimental device is microfabricated, and experimental results are obtained using fluorescent polystyrene particles, red blood cells, and hollow glass spheres. The results demonstrate successful particle manipulation.
