Abstract
This paper demonstrates the iterative designs in the developing procedure of large aperture travelling wave array antenna aiming for radiation with low side lobe level. The aperture field distribution of the travelling wave array is retrieved through Fourier transformation, which can be used to diagnose the magnitude and phase errors. Therefore, both magnitude and phase are trimmed iteratively, respectively. The proposed iterative design is conducted through numerical simulation, and the deterioration of side lobe level from the design target can be smaller than 3dB.
