Abstract
Scientific applications such as laser plasma X-ray sources, inverse Compton scattering and electron acceleration demand for increasingly higher pulse energies at kilohertz repetition rates and short pulse durations of sub-50 fs. Here we show the experimental results of a nonlinear pulse compression approach enabling peak powers in the multi-TW range at kHz repetition rates.
