Abstract
A synthesis method for Near-Field Focused Antenna Arrays is presented in this work, by combining the standard phase-conjugation method with localized Bessel beam launchers configurations. The finite dimension of the circular aperture of the launcher is properly considered into the mathematical model, with a simplified scalar formulation. Numerical validations are discussed by comparison of the proposed Bessel beams array and a standard array of $\lambda/2$ dipoles. In particular, a much higher field amplitude is demonstrated for the array of Bessel beam launchers, thus revealing the ability to realize high-resolution focusing systems suitable for biomedical applications.
