Abstract
People in today's modern society aspire to live a sophisticated lifestyle with all amenities. Therefore, scientific and technological advances are advancing quickly to meet the following needs. The Internet of Things (loT) is an innovative progression that assumes a significant part in the mechanization of an assortment of fields, including health monitoring, traffic control, agricultural irrigation, street lighting, home appliances, data analytics etc. Currently, a manual approach is used to control streetlights, which results in massive energy waste around the world. This research study proposes an efficient street lighting system, where self-driven decision-making components are used to compute intensity level of light. Based on sensor unit data about traffic con ditions and the presence or absence of occupants, an LED light controller is used. In the proposed system, sustainable power systems, which are made up of solar panel units, intelligent electric power grids and battery storage systems are employed to make efficient use of sustainable energy resources. This will end the traditional electrical needs that cause load shedding.
