La concepción actual de los museos, tanto en la ciudad de Riobamba como en el de Punín (Riobamba, Ecuador), examinado aquí, no deja de hacerse desde un punto de vista de la exclusión social e identitaria. La presente propuesta hace un recorrido desde la condición de poder hasta la apropiación de «los otros» centros culturales a disposición de las comunidades, en los que la academia debería aportar mucho desde la óptica de la multiculturalidad e interculturalidad del sur. ENGLISH: The current conception of museums, both in the city of Riobamba as well as in the Punín Museum (Riobamba, Ecuador), examined here, is based from the point of view of the social and identity exclusion. Our proposal makes a journey from the condition of power to the appropriation of “the other” cultural centers at the disposal of the communities, in which the academy should contribute much from the point of view of a multicultural and intercultural perspective in the South.
