Prevention reporting (PBE) is used for data-based assessment of prevention and health promotion (PGF) and the monitoring of preventive measures. The complexity of PGF requires data that show the health status of the population, risk and protective factors, behaviour and social conditions as well as the type, distribution and quality aspects of PGF. PBE is still under development at the federal level and in the German states and has received an important incentive through the Prevention Act.
