James Judd and the Slovak Philharmonic present two forgotten gems of the Czech and Slovak repertoire: Fibich and Suchon, who are currently being rediscovered by Czech and Slovak musicians. The program is complemented by Janácek’s Sinfonietta, a workin the spirit of the composer, who ignored the naïve spirit of national awakening of his time and instead emphasized the individual uplifiting of the human soul.
