Abstract
Highlights •Protein components in the DON channel surface can form an ecological niche for OL cell development.•LN is linearly deposited on the DON channel surface and acts as a bioactive material for loading OPCs and constructing WMLT.•WMLT utilizes the unique microstructure and bioactive matrix of the DON channels to create a niche in LN, NT-3 and OL cells.•LN provides directional guidance to regenerating axons by binding to ITGA on their surface.•WMLT achieves well integration with host spinal cord tissue and facilitates directional axon regeneration and remyelination.
