Abstract
Highlights •This work presents a new (boric acid)-pendent porous organic polymer.•This compound’s adsorption mechanism is that both borate and ion-exchange are responsible for the current outstanding NaOH extraction performance.•This compound proved big potential in direct extraction of sodium hydroxide.
