Abstract
Highlights •The potential role of eyestalk in the immunity of Litopenaeus vannamei to Vibrio parahaemolyticus infection was reported.•After transcriptome assembly, 52,656 unigenes with an average length of 1035,871 nt were identified.•Transcriptome analysis reveals that eyestalk plays a major role in the immunoregulation of L. vannamei.•Possible mechanism of hemocytes in response to V. parahaemolyticus infection after eyestalk ablation was clarified.
