Abstract
Highlights •MXene with heterogeneous structure(M@A) was constructed by electrostatic self-assembly.•M@A can endow cotton fabrics with ultra-sensitive fire warning properties and high fire safety.•M@A can enhance the mechanical strength and thermal conductivity of cotton fabrics.•The fire warning and fire retardant mechanism is systematically explored through the analysis of condensed phase products.
