The experiment in this paper was terminated at the loading of 2730.1 kN due to safety reasons (the reaction frame was damaged). Therefore, the ultimate flexural capacity was not measured in the experiment. To verify the reliability of the flexural capacity calculation methods, the authors subsequently designed a batch of specimens with similar structures for four-point loading tests. However, the measured ultimate flexural results in subsequent tests showed some errors with the theoretical results obtained from the method proposed in this paper, which may be caused by improper assumptions or material parameter values. This issue was discovered during a recent re-evaluation of the data and has been discussed thoroughly among all authors. The authors collectively agree that retracting the article is the most responsible course of action to maintain the integrity of the scientific record.
