Abstract
Highlights •Tests on three PC and one RC shear walls under constant axial compression aimed to assess the impact resistance of precast shear walls comprehensively.•PC specimens with sleeve connections had better impact resistance and less damage than those with metallic duct connections.•The research highlighted how various connections influence the impact resistance of shear walls and column specimens.•A novel method for rapidly evaluating the impact resistance of concrete wall panels was proposed.
