Abstract
The article focuses on the initiatives of the conservators at the Museum of the City of New York in rearming the monumental bronze statues of Union Army Generals Josiah Porter at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx and Gouverneur Kemble Warren at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn as their sabers were stolen.
