Abstract
The article presents a study which aims to conduct a routine analysis of serum oestradiol and oestrone with the direct rapid liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) assay. The study used methyl tertiary butyl ether and performed supported liquid extraction to analyze serum samples by LC-MS/MS assay. The study determined that a rapid assay for the LC-MS/MS measurement of oestradiol and oestrone does not require derivatization and is suitable for routine clinical use.
