Abstract
Highlights: [•] We assessed the reliability of CTF and FD methods for 4 test cases in 2 climates. [•] Gaussian random inputs do not imply a Gaussian distribution of the heat losses. [•] The spread between expected values of heat losses with FD and CTF are within ±5%. [•] Larger differences between the two models are noted result precision.
