Abstract
The article presents a study which examined the prevalence and risk factors for diabetes and prediabetes in adults in Bangladesh. The study was based on the 2011 Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey. Based on the results, it showed that urgent action should be made to stop diabetes development by enhancing detection, awareness, prevention and treatment of diabetes.
