Abstract
This article presents guidelines for clinicians and emergency providers on treating civilian blast injuries. Blast injury is the common result of either traditional or improvised conventional explosive devices. The blast patient is often more seriously injured than his multiple trauma cohort. The article details expected injury patterns, triage decisions and current therapies.
