Abstract
Highlights: [•] The addition of Al2O3 stabilizes the anatase phase and inhibits phase transformation of TiO2. [•] Al is incorporated into the TiO2 lattice and the formation of Al–O–Ti bridges is favorable for stabilizing anatase phase. [•] Six-coordinated aluminum is the major Al component in the Al2O3–TiO2 composites. [•] Pd dispersion on the surface of the Al2O3–TiO2 composite is effectively promoted. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
