Abstract
The article discusses research which examined the serologic response of harbor seals to a recombinant canarypox-vectored canine distemper vaccine. Particular focus is given to the safety and efficacy of the vaccine. Findings showed no signs of local or systemic adverse reactions to the vaccination. In addition, three seals did not seroconvert but a persistent serum virus neutralizing titer was induced in two seals that were vaccinated twice.
