Abstract
The article discusses the effects of probiotics on autoimmune diseases, allergies and AIDS. Some studies showed the ability of probiotics to modulate the performance of the immune system. A study revealed that probiotics could shorten acute diarrhea in HIV-positive children. The need to use probiotics because of the rising incidence of allergic diseases in both developing and developed countries is noted.
