The authors reflect on the need for updated Millennium Development Goals which include universal health coverage and the right to health for all people across the globe. They suggest that the goal of universal health coverage is an improvement over current Millennium Development Goals. They argues that any post-2015 health goals need to be articulated in collaboration with communities whose health is at stake to prevent the goals from being formulated by policy elites.
