Abstract
The article presents a study on the efficacy and safety of apixaban compared with warfarin for reduction of stroke an of bleeding in atrial fibrillation. The study employs double-blind randomised trial, Cox proportional hazard, and efficacy and safety analyses. Results reveal that apixaban is better than warfarin at prevention of systemic embolism and stroke, causes less bleeding and lower mortality.
