Abstract
The article discusses the evolution of global clinical supply chain management. It says that more active role of clinical supply professionals has been driven by the rising volume of clinical trial activity, tighter budget for drug development, and more pressure for start-up and faster studies. It cites the study conducted by the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development (CSDD) to assess the clinical supply chain in the global market.
