Abstract
The article reports on a case of a posterior interosseous nerve palsy after needle acupuncture in a 36-year-old man. The patient, who has no known medical history, was treated by a needle acupuncturist for left shoulder pain. According to him, the needles were inserted at the lateral aspects of the mid-arm and elbow joint. He also reported a burning sensation after the therapy.
