Abstract
The impact of some students' related factors on their metacognitive awareness was examined in the present study. 1800 students of grade X participated in the study. The sample was selected from 120 secondary schools. Metacognitive awareness was measured using metacognitive inventory. Results indicated that metacognitive awareness was significantly correlated with internet use and library habits. It was found that children of highly educated parents were highly metacognitively aware than the children of less educated parents. Results further indicated that there was no significant difference in the metacognitive awareness of male and female students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
