Abstract
The article discusses atmospheric database definition for the Atmospheric Dynamics (ADM) Aeolus mission. It mentions that the mission is planned for launch in the end of 2013 with aims of measuring single horizontal line-of-sight (HLOS) wind elements from the surface with global coverage. It also notes its significance to simulation studies in preparation of earth observing remote sensing satellites.
