Abstract
An interview with the artist Judith Barry is presented. Particular focus is given to her 2011 body of work "Cairo stories" which took her over a decade to complete. Additional topics discussed include how her work aims to defy stereotypes about women in the Middle East and North Africa, and her devotion to making art that is both ideological and political.
