Abstract
The article presents a study which identified the compounds that target the hemopexin (PEX) domain of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-9 inhibitors catalytic activity. It explains how the interaction between the compound N-(4-(difluoromethoxy)phenyl-2-[4-oxo-6-propyl-1H-pyrimidin-2-yl)sulfanyl]-acetamide and the PEX domain MMP-9 inhibits tumor growth and metastasis.
