Abstract
The article presents a study on cerebrovascular autoregulation and cerebral blood flow (CBF) in a swine model of pediatric cardiac arrest and hypothermia. The researchers inducted anesthesia with 50/50 nitrous oxide/oxygen and 5 percent isoflurane. They found that hypothermia after hypoxic-asphyxic cardiac arrest reduces the lower limit of autoregulation (LLA) and decreases the CBF of every piglet.
